Sarah Jessica Parker’s Shoe Line Reveal

I saw the news break on Vogue UK that Sarah Jessica Parker's shoe line was been revealed, I have to admit that I'm rather disappointed - as many other fans are. I've included the blurb below as well as my picks for best shoes. You can see the full collection here

Sarah Jessica Parker has finally unveiled her debut footwear collection in full for the first time, and we have every single style to show you. The range launches exclusively at American department store Nordstrom on February 28, although British shoppers can buy it online at Nordstrom.com.

The colourful offering is reflective of Parker's feminine style, with grosgrain ribbon detailing featuring on every style - a reference to the actress's childhood. Styles range from elegant T-bars and metallic stilettos to suede flip-flops and espadrille wedges, with prices starting at $195.

"I've taken inspiration from things in my life such as the grosgrain ribbons I tied in my hair as a girl, to the flower accents from the Sex and the City wardrobe, to references to classic styles from the late Seventies and early Eighties," said Parker. "I'm a firm believer in quality and timelessness and have created this collection with the hopes that women will love wearing it for years to come."

The collection also features a selection of bags, as well as a trench coat designed to accentuate accessories. The Sex and the City star first announced she was launching her own line in June last year, choosing to collaborate with George Malkemus, CEO of Manolo Blahnik - the label that, as Carrie Bradshaw, she helped put firmly on the fashion map.

The Blonde Salad for Steve Madden

The Blonde Salad is certainly leading the pack when it comes to bloggers releasing capsule collections. After 2 very successful collections for Superga, Chiara Ferragni has set her sights from sneakers to other shoe heights.

I haven't heard any news as to when the collection is hitting South African shores, but I'll be sure to tweet about it once I do (@CJaneWonder

Steve Madden is available at Sandton City, Fourways Mall, Eastgate (JHB), Century City (CT) and selected Edgars stores.

Forever 21 is coming to South Africa!

Praise the fashion gods, Forever 21 is coming to our shores mid-year! Whooooo

If you’ve ever shopped up a storm in the States you’ll know exactly who we’re talking about when we say Forever 21. The affordable US fashion brand is the apex of current trends at budget prices – think the American equivalent of Mr Price.

Now, Forever 21 follows a slew of other international brands to set up shop in South Africa. Its first store on the African continent will open at Cape Town’s Canal Walk mid-year.

Headquartered in Los Angeles, Forever 21 began as Fashion 21 – a 900sq ft. corner shop founded during the mid eighties. Sales multiplied by tenfold after just one year and new stores began popping up all over the show, with the brand eventually changing its name to Forever 21. Now it’s got an international footprint in ten Latin American countries, 19 Asian countries and five European countries.

‘We are excited to enter the South African market and have plans for some exceptional stores,’ says Jatin Malhotra, Forever 21’s Director of Real Estate and Business Development. ‘Canal Walk ticks all the right boxes for us in terms of the kind of mall that we feel would be the best venue for our brand. We are happy to commence this relationship with a key landlord.’

Hyprop CEO Pieter Prinsloo added:
"Establishing a relationship with leading international fashion brands such as Forever 21 aligns with our strategy of driving a vibrant tenant mix and offering shoppers access to popular leading labels."

Forever 21 joins the likes of Aussie retail group Cotton On, Spanish fashion group Zara, Brit brand Topshop and soon to launch Swedish clothing giant H&M – all of which are know for their fast fashion approach of translating runway into reality at breakneck production speed.
