I am a part of Foschini #FashionFriendsSA

I have wonderful news for everyone, I am officially a Foschini Fashion Friend (which, in a nutshell, is a Foschini brand ambassador).

It's my job to start a conversation, it can be anything from fashion to beauty to body confidence to 'feminism'. In other words, it's not all about the superficial - we care about women and we hope that our conversations strengthen our community and create positivity!

The cherry on top of our conversations? A 20% voucher to spoil yourself at a Foschini store where you can find the hottest trends for all shapes and sizes. I was in a store on Saturday and was so chuffed to be part of a brand that is so on the pulse of what's hot and happening in fashion. I will be doing a blog post on some of my fave picks at Foschini soon.

Sadly I couldn't be part of the photoshoot that happened in Cape Town recently, it was about 2 weeks after I started a brand new job and couldn't justify taking leave so early, being a Fashion Friend is not a full-time job.

Here are some of the images from the shoot, and click HERE to meet all of the Fashion Friends. I am on this link, so you know I am being legit and not fibbing that I am part of this awesome initiative ;)

After looking at these campaign images from Lucky Brand, I really wish I was flush at this time to go burn a hole through my purse. Remember me saying that the denim skirt is back?

{OOTD} Denim Dungarees

Happy Monday everyone! This is actually a Monday I don't mind, I had such a relaxing weekend. I watched about 8 episodes of Pretty Little Liars (if you haven't watched it before, do yourself a favour), I went to watch Cinderella at the actual cinema (absolutely stunning movie), and yesterday I went to a little market in Hillcrest.

It was boiling hot so I wore my cute little denim dungaree dress from Cotton On. I got it last year at the Rosebank Store (probably my favorite store along with Gateway) for, wait for it, R100!!!! I must have been a little ahead of the trend because I cannot for the life of me understand why it was marked down?! Oh well, lucky me :)

I discussed a lot of my weekend activity on my weekend vlog which I hope to upload this week to my YouTube channel. Please subscribe :)

Denim Dungaree Dress: Cotton On
White T-shirt: Primark (also great ones at Woolworths)
Handbag: Forever New

All you need to know about #PharrellWithWoolies

Pharrell Williams + Woolworths - South Africa

Yes, that's right! Pharrell Williams + my beloved Woolworths! When I saw this trending on Twitter last night I was confused. Was there a Woolworths in the US? Was it perhaps the one in Aus? Nope!

There was a rumble that there was a "secret project" but I never could have imaged the magnitude nor the potential for this campaign.

Then I saw it came from Pharrell himself, in a tweet to his 6.33m followers!

King Pharrell has been appointed the Woolworths Style Director in a ground-breaking collaboration across a series of sustainability-focused projects.

I could tell you, in writing, all about the project - but the video explains it all;

Here are ways that you can be involved with Woolies:

GIVE WITH US: Raising over R100 million for education

Pharrell and MySchool will be calling on customers to help us raise R100 million for schools in need across South Africa through swiping their MySchool MyVillage MyPlanet cards. The more you swipe, the more you donate – the more you make a difference to schools around the country. Signing up for a card is easy and free – and you get to choose which schools

CREATE WITH US: Sustainable T-shirt Design Competition

Woolies has collaborated with Bionic Yarn®, a company that creates fabric out of recycled plastic waste, to create a range of limited edition, sustainable t-shirts. Design students are invited to create and submit designs for these t-shirts that celebrate sustainability. Pharrell will select his favourite designs and these will be produced and sold in Woolies stores across the country. Winners will each receive R25 000 in prize money.

SING WITH US: Share the stage with Pharrell

School singing groups are invited to practice their songs and get ready to compete to win the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to perform live alongside Pharrell Williams in front of the whole country during his MySchool concert tour of South Africa. Entrants will be shortlisted and chosen personally by Pharrell to appear alongside him on stage in September as part of an exclusive concert for WRewards Members only.

WIN WITH US: See Pharrell live at a private concert

If you’re not a Woolies’ WRewards or MySchool cardholder, now is the time to sign up. Members stand the chance to win a ticket to an exclusive, one-night-only private Pharrell Williams concert, exclusively for members. The only way to get a ticket to this one-night-only event is to be a Woolies WRewards / MySchool / Credit cardholder.

Woolies has been posting a lot on their Facebook page, go 'like' them to see more: Woolworths Facebook page
